Today was the first day back in the classroom in preparation for the new school year. The day was filled with unpacking boxes of supplies and labeling desks with the names of my new students. As I looked at each name, I thought about all of the opportunities that we might have together to offer kindness to others. I am hoping that my students become as excited about this project as I am!
I gave cold, bottled water to some very thirsty workers today. Their thirst was quenched as they labored in the hot sun, and I was glad to share this basic element of life with them- water.
